Truve is on a mission to simplify how law firms are managed. Truve is a data hub, analytics, and productivity platform for law firms of the future. Our platform first simplifies the management of legal practices by connecting to their various information systems in order to merge all of their data into one central hub. From there, Truve provides unique machine learning insights and customizable dashboards in order to help law firms focus on the most profitable parts of their business and learn more about their practice.

The Role

Truve is hiring multiple Data Engineers who enjoy building data pipes for our complex data from various systems that law firms use. Data Engineer will navigate through unique data sets to build and maintain data pipelines, monitor and optimize data processes, and lead data engineering for our machine learning model data sets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building, deploying, monitoring, and managing data pipelines on AWS or AWS-deployed technologies
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with production data integrity and performance
  • Collaborate with software architect to forecast and design data architecture
  • Take ownership of the entire data services life cycle, from data ingestion to data processing and ETL to data delivery for reporting
  • Take charge and collaborate with all aspects of data management to ensure that patterns, decisions, and tooling are implemented in accordance with standards

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Expert in Python coding best practices
  • Significant experience developing REST APIs using the FastAPI framework or similar Python framework
  • Experience working with the Python AWS SDK (boto3)
  • Some experience working with AWS services like AWS EC2, S3, VPC, SES, ELB, ELS, RDS, etc.
  • PostgreSQL experience and familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries is a plus
  • Ability to design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  • Understanding the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
  • Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
  • Knowledge of software development best practices: SCRUM, GIT, CI/CD, Test Automation, OOP
  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

  • Location: Remote
  • Working hours: Full-time
    • Minimum 4-hour overlap with EST working hours of 8AM EST – 5PM EST
  • Working Days: Monday – Friday
